#TVShowReview: Supernatural Seasons #1, #2, & a bit of #3.
As with almost all TV shows the perpetual attempt to up the ante has/is causing it to not only spiral out of control, but to lose site of it’s vision.
At it’s roots Supernatural was a show similar to X-Files the leads actually compare themselves to Mulder and Scully on several occasions.
But the show quickly wanders into Heroes territory with a show down between Supernatural’s super heroes: psychics, telepaths, a strong man, it’s like a really bad Marvel family reunion or terrible episode of Heroes (not like those are hard to find just skip to season #3).
That being said, if/when the show stays on point they really do produce quality episodes such as Heart from Season #2 where Sam fights to save a woman who is turning into a werewolf. Or Roadkill, also season #2, an episode with a really dramatic surprise. Oh, and the creapiest episode, season #3: The Kids are Alright, given the title you know they aren’t!
